Lori Marano is the District Director for the Southern district  and trainer for the Montessori program that Minnieland has embraced. She attended both Bennett College where she majored in Early Childhood Education and C. W. Post /L.I.U. where she majored in Elementary Education.   Trained in Montessori, Lori received her certification from the North American Montessori Center.  She has had the good fortune to work in a private Montessori school in Port Washington, New York, for seventeen years. Lori started out as the Pre- School teacher and worked her way up into an administrative role. It was in Port Washington where she gained the knowledge and experience on providing a quality Montessori education to the young child.

Marano moved to Virginia five years ago and began working with Minnieland Private Day School as a Director. Minnieland has allowed her to introduce the Montessori philosophy to the Pre-School program and it has since flourished. There are presently six Minnieland Schools that have embraced the Montessori program.
