Amanda Short has worked with Minnieland for 8 years. Amanda worked her way through her undergraduate program serving part time as a toddler teacher assistant for Minnieland. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington in 2005, she assumed leadership positions with the company quickly moving up to the position of center director. She has taught children in every age group and has mentored other teachers successfully; helping others to achieve the high quality standards she sets for herself. Though Amanda has a wide range of interests in the Early Childhood Field, she specializes in school age care, having created a model program for school age children at two different locations. Amanda’s three children also attend a Minnieland center and she knows firsthand how parents benefit from the excellent programming.
