Water – Refreshing And Educational for Your Child

In the middle of summer we think of water play as a way to cool us down from summer heat.  But water play is good for preschool children in many ways.

It is a unique medium in that it is the only common liquid toy that children can explore.

Children learn so many things from water. They grasp concepts of volume, capacity, density, and weight. They figure out what floats and what sinks and how to make something float. They discover what happens when you send water through a hose or a tube and how gravity interacts with water flow.

With some advance prep, they can investigate what happens when water is frozen and then unfrozen.  On a hot summer day, there can be nothing more satisfying than creating ice castles with cubes of ice, particularly when salt is used to help the blocks stick together!

I just really wanted to commend the Ashbriar location and their staff.
